Many people wonder why I, as someone who communicates science, especially focused on vaccines, have been paying attention for years to politics, to Qanon, conspiracy theories, RFK, Trump, conservatives, Heritage… when in 2022 I wrote that conservative circles (to say the least – right-wing circles) financed the Great Barrington declaration against the lockdown, not only did they laugh at me, but I received warnings from my bosses at the time that I shouldn't write like that and that I must not write against Trump in particular. Now the US CDC has been compromised.
The March for Science following the first Trump administration's push to censor some terms related to climate change was a warning that any administration with this man at the helm would be anti-science. This also means that they will actively undermine public health policies. I am not at all proud and happy that I predicted this collapse of common sense first in the USA and then in Europe (because it is coming to Europe) and the complete capitulation of a system to a gang of charlatans led by RFK (otherwise a former heroin addict), Dr. Oz, MAGA doctors, supplement sellers and others.
The American CDC (Centers for Disease Control), under the pressure of charlatan and conservative circles 11/19/2025. capitulated and changed their position regarding autism and vaccines. On the official website, it was changed that “the claim that vaccines do not cause autism is not based on evidence because it has not been ruled out that childhood vaccines can cause autism.”
This will be remembered as a shameful day for America, science and medicine. This will be studied for years to come as an example of one of the greatest shames in the history of the USA and the world. Political pressures equal to those in the USSR, especially during Stalin's time and with Trofim Lysenko. Soon, count on persecution of all those who represent the position of science in the USA and oppose this unscrupulous casino of life and flea market of opinions, as Joe Pierre calls it in the book False .
To repeat – there were about hundreds of studies that showed that autism, that is, disorders from the autistic spectrum, is a separate phenomenon from vaccination and that there is only correlation, not causality. That is, that clearer symptoms appear in the period around the first birthday when the child needs to walk and talk, and at the same time the vaccine against measles, rubella and mumps is given. The fact that the symptoms appear at this age does not mean that they were caused by the vaccine. Correlation does not mean causation .
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has quietly changed its public stance on vaccines and autism, reversing its earlier clear claim that there is no link and replacing it with wording that the claim is “not evidence-based,” contradicting long-standing scientific consensus and bypassing standard peer review procedures. According to former senior CDC official Dan Jernigan and other sources, the changes were made without the involvement of the relevant CDC department, while the move fits into a broader strategy of the Department of Health under the leadership of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a long-time proponent of the discredited theory about the link between vaccines and autism. Epidemiologist Michael Osterholm also expressed concern about such political interventions in public health for STAT , warning that the administration “wants to take away your vaccines” and is already on its way to doing so.
” All I can say is, ‘Wake up, America. This administration wants to take away your vaccines. And it's well on its way to doing it ,'” Michael Osterholm, director of the University of Minnesota's Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, where the Vaccine Integrity Project operates, said in an interview.
Scientists in one of the latest editions of Nature say that the outbreak of measles in the USA and Canada (which until recently was practically considered a measles-free zone) is a sign of something worse. Because if we see the appearance of measles, which is highly contagious and is the first to break out, it means that something worse is happening in the background and that we should expect the outbreak of other diseases one after the other. With the US public health system completely decapitated, Canada's weakened and the UK's system in the abyss, and it is not better in Europe either, the question is how the health systems and with what capacities will face this infectious menace when other diseases start to break out.
Neoliberal deregulation (I wrote how the CDC is a victim of this chaos and deregulation and how it is only the beginning) of everything that the state should control has led to this, and conservative wet dreams of returning to the age of feudalism and disease put us face to face with diseases that doctors have not seen in years.
CDC is compromised by political leadership. CDC does not work, period. And this will lead to many children being at risk. American experts are outraged by this move and feel abandoned, betrayed and demoralized. As I already wrote , it will all spill over to Europe. This news has already caused mindless joy and orgies among anti-vaxxers and libertarians.
CNN reported that RFK personally wrote the directive for the CDC's new guidelines on vaccines and autism. One man, no medical training, a former heroin addict, a man who made millions promoting anti-vaccine propaganda.
Also, this new CDC and the compromised ACIP (Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices) will begin to change the immunization schedule. The first to hit is the hepatitis B vaccine, which is normally given as the first dose at birth. This is very important because the earlier we protect a person from hepatitis B, the lower the risk of infection. Infection at an early age has a higher risk of developing liver damage – cirrhosis and cancer. After the vaccine against hepatitis B, they will probably ask dilettantically to re-schedule and MMR vaccine, i.e. its postponement.
These are not only dangerous experiments, but also give wind to the sails of people who spread misinformation about vaccines and they are now gloating over this defeat of the profession and science.
Immunization schedules are quite similar globally and there is a very solid scientific basis for giving vaccines in a certain schedule.
RFK is otherwise known for being an opponent of vaccination and is friends with Andrew Wakefield , the author of the most harmful study in medicine. These people are nothing but pests and their ignorance and futility will cost us all.
Vaccinate your children.
I personally received: 2 doses of MMR vaccine, 2 doses of HPV vaccine, 3 doses of Hep B vaccine, 1 dose – booster vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus and whooping cough, 6 doses of vaccine against COVID-19, every year a vaccine against influenza, a vaccine against yellow fever.
